Thank you for considering a donation to Dwight’s
transplant fund with the National Foundation for Transplants (NFT.) The transplant
team at University Hospital encouraged our family to partner with the NFT in
order to be able to accept donations in Dwight's name to help with his post-transplant
medications and other expenses. The
NFT is a great organization that only retains a modest two percent (2%) for
administrative costs. In return they
have provided Dwight’s campaign committee with fundraising services and
materials to help in our community fundraising efforts.
The NFT is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization
and therefore your donations to Dwight will be tax deductible. You will receive a thank you letter from the
NFT that you can use as a receipt for tax purposes, and Dwight can then access
the donated funds through the NFT for his transplant-related expenses that aren’t
covered by his insurance (post-transplant medications, temporary mortgage/utility
assistance, etc.)
We are so grateful to the many family and
friends who have offered to help Dwight with his medical expenses during this
time. Unless you chose for your gift to
be anonymous, we’ll add your name to the growing list of people who have
contributed to Dwight’s transplant fund on this blog under the tab "Ozzy's Donor/Friend List."
