WHAT A ROLLER COASTER RIDE. ALOT HAS HAPPENED IN THE LAST 6 MONTHS. AT LEAST NOW WE KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT AND PRAY FOR. I KEEP GRASPING AT THE THOUGHT THAT DWIGHT WILL DO EVERYTHING TO STAY HEALTHY. HE'S BEEN MY HERO FOR ALMOST 40 YEARS AND I REFUSE TO GIVE UP ON HIM. EVERY DAY FROM HERE ON IS GOING TO GREAT BECAUSE HE IS IN MY LIFE.
THROUGH ALL THIS, YOU REALIZE WHAT AMAZING CHILDREN YOU HAVE BEEN LUCKY ENOUGH TO RAISE. OUR FAMILY IS RICH IN LOVE & HAPPY EXPERIENCES. SO NEVER FEEL SAD ABOUT US. WE HAVE IT ALL!!!
DWIGHT ALWAYS WANTS TO HEAR FROM YOU SO PLEASE KEEP YOUR COMMENTS COMING. IT HELPS ALOT. LOVE TO ALL OUR FAMILY & FRIENDS - CHRIS
This blog is dedicated to the biggest Ute fan and the best guy in the world - Dwight Osborn. He was diagnosed in July 2009 with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, a deadly lung disease with no known cure or treatment that kills as many people every year as Breast Cancer. He was put on the transplant list at the U (go Utes!) on November 29, 2011. We received the call on Friday, December 23rd around 7pm and Dad received the greatest gift ever on Christmas Eve. It really is a wonderful life!
We had a blast with you Mom and Dad over this holiday period. True the diagnosis did not come out how we would like, but at least we know what kind of animal we are dealing with. Here is a link for the exact diagnosis that Dad has been given: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/pulmonary-fibrosis/DS00927
ReplyDeleteDad you are such and inspiration of Hope and Gratitude. I know that in some way this disease that you have is going to make us ALL stronger. I encourage ALL of us to join The Coalition for Pulmonary Fibrosis (www.coalitionforpf.org) so we can all better understand this disease and do what we can to help raise awareness for this deadly disease. We pray for you every night Dad and know that if anyone can beat the odds on this Dad its YOU!!!! Love, Bry
